THE SALISBURY ESCAPE ROOMS

Voted Salisbury's #1 for Fun and Games in the city, the Salisbury Escape Rooms in Fisherton Street is the only Escape Room created and built by actual detectives. Perfect for team building for families, colleagues or groups of friends, the Escape Rooms are centrally located in Salisbury, close to restaurants and pubs to make it the ideal venue for a good night out.

The Escape Rooms are a great place for work parties to let off some steam and try out some team building. We asked Lou, who has recently visited, to give us her verdict:

Wednesday 15th December 2021

I booked this venue for our Christmas party. After a very long eighteen months working in Salisbury Hospital through the pandemic the team felt that a laugh and a team building Christmas party was very much needed!

The process of booking was extremely easy; I spoke with Maisie who suggested two group games. We are a small department of 11 members so we decided one group of 5 and one of 6. Maisie was really helpful, took payment over the phone, booked us two games and explained all the Covid procedures.

A week before the game, an email was sent with the background story of the “case” we would be helping to solve. A You Tube video was also attached with a news bulletin of the murder case to give us some background and whet our appetites. There was also a discount linked to two Salisbury events following this booking to use, 20% off Salisbury Plain Safaris and 20% off The Old Ale and Coffee House.

On arrival we were greeted by Detective Hedge, who showed us in and where to store our coats. He then ran through the murder we had to solve and told us that we would have only an hour to solve it. He then launched into Detective Mode, showed us into the first room and locked the door.

The escape room was great fun, very enjoyable and we worked well as a team. There was a few “red herrings” and some puzzles which it was best to split up and work through. We made it through all three rooms and worked our way through the “suspects”.

We had one or two interventions from “Command Centre” to help point us in the right direction which was much appreciated! We finished, albeit two minutes over, as luck just was not on our side (the final puzzle included leaf blowers and balls into holes which was very time consuming).

Detective Hedge must have been feeling generous on this day and let us keep going to find the last code to let ourselves out - he didn’t keep us locked in! We had a team photo at the end and a great fun was had by all. We then went to the pub for a drink and a debrief!

I highly recommend this event, it is well worth a try, especially with a team for a bit of fun. It was good banter afterwards comparing with the other team (who beat us by quite a bit!)

Thank you Escape Rooms!
